The place is a historical landmark and looks amazing, both inside and outside. The room was very big and with a tall ceiling like in the old days. There was cloth everywhere like lining on the walls and big curtains, but no speck of dust. Everything was very clean in general. In spite of being next to avery circulated street, the room was very quiet and I was able to sleep very well. The staff was nice and welcoming. The breakfast was so large I couldn't eat all of it and the cake at the end was very good. They have a tradition of making them in house. All in all you have the feeling you are living in a museum thus I highly recommend reading up on the place's history before coming to stay, it will enhance your experience.

What I love about this hotel is the preservation of historic decor in the rooms themselves. So often historic hotels preserve the lobby but then the rooms themselves are a bland, modern generic white affair. Not the case here. These rooms boast walls of sumptuous dark wood pilasters interspersed with green damask. The furniture is gorgeous inlay wood. Even the bathroom has beautiful woods. The whole experience is warm and inviting. Sure, the carpets could use a refresh, but I'll take that for the Old World feel. The breakfast room off the courtyard was equally very elegant and we enjoyed the good food.

This is a charming hotel in the center of Bucharest close to all major attractions. It cultivates old world charm combined with modern amenities. Do not expect extras like a spa or a gym; it is in fact a boutique hotel located in a historical building, and that makes it special. The staff is very competent and friendly. They also serve a very good breakfast. The pastry shop is, and has long been, famous for its specialties - absolutely worth sampling.

This was my first stay in Romania and I chose Casa Capsa because of its great history and authentic style. And it didn't disappoint - lovely very elegant interiors, helpful, friendly staff and all in all very charming, elegant character. Room was beautifully furnished and quite large (Deluxe) The hotel is located very central so anything you need is close at hand (sights, museums, banks, shops etc.)

Marina

Beautiful old hotel that keeps its original details and furniture from the 1800s. Clean, quiet, excellent location and excellent service. Downstairs you will find an old café with a wide variety of home made cakes, sweets and ice cream. My absolute favourite place to stay in Bucharest.
